PROCESS

The following is my strategic process. It describes how I approach a project that maximizes efficiency and results. Through-
out the design process, the understanding of a client's business goals and needs, guide the project. Communication & collaboration lead this process by confirming the goals along the way with feedback and dialogue. The client's expertise and involvement are key to the success of the project.

Design Brief

At the beginning of every project, I like to learn about the client and their objectives, business goals, and needs. This is where I learn about the client's vision and it is what will be developed into the initial project strategy.

  •  Scope, schedule & budget
  •  Gather information about the business & target audience

Planning

At this stage, I gather additional information through independent research to further understand the client's company, competition, and target audience. Later reconfirming scope, schedule, and budget along with business goals, objectives, and needs.

  • Needs assessment
  • Competitive analysis
  • Campaign outline (what channels are best for the goals)
  • Develop Persona's
  • Content outline
  • SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, & time-bound)

Concept

Based on the design brief and the planning phases, I will generate ideas and develop design concepts, making sure they are goal driven. In the idea generation, I will explore multiple solutions by sketching and storyboarding the best concepts into three refined options.

  • Brainstorming, word mapping, storyboarding, sketching
  • Develop and test UX/UI (these are specifically used for website, mobile, and app designs)
  • Up to 3 designed concepts depending on scope and budget

Refinement

This is where I take the agreed upon, preferred concept and refine the design to help achieve the project goals, guided by the vision. This is then implemented cohesively through the branded campaign across the desired channels. A comprehensive review of technical specifications and SMART goals before final implementation. Throughout the campaign, metrics are then analyzed and compared to the project goals.

  • Refine preferred concept into the solution
  • Implement final solution according to campaign directives
  • Review, analyze, and adjust
